John and Marie Ann from London are engaged in an affair. They use the opportunity presented by John’s writing assignment to grab some time together and escape from the city by visiting the Mediterranean island setting of a Jean Luc Goddard film, the subject of the article. When they arrive on the island they discover gradually that the beauty of the day melts away and uncovers that the island paradise harbours uncomfortable truths for both of them.
Drift is a contemporary drama that examines tensions between tourists and the inhabitants of a Mediterranean island community.
